Ready or Not

After years of talking about it, I’m finally making the leap into really running my own business.

Sure, it’s mostly just a continuation of what I’ve been doing for the past four years or so, but now it’s all in my own hands.

I’ve agonized long and hard over the details–and the generalities–of how this is all going to work, but I think I’ve got enough in place to start off on something resembling the right foot. The website is (mostly) complete and passable. I’ve got pricing worked out (though not yet posted). There are sales letters almost ready to go out to my first targeted group of clients…

The URL is out there now, the search engines are welcome to come and index the site, random people able to drop by.

Guess that means it’s real.

Still left to do here:

  • Twitter, Facebook account creation and linkage
  • A plan for the blog area
  • Posting of pricing
  • Punching up the content a bit (adequate now, could be better)
  • Graphics

And then there’s the support stuff that needs to get done over on Durosia.com proper… but that’s another story entirely.

For now, I’m going to keep plugging away and see what happens.
